Executive Director

SUMMARY:

Responsible for directing and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the residence in accordance with current state and local standards, and in accordance with all ICC policies and procedures.  Responsible for ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is provided at all times. Represents the residence in a professional manner, markets the residence to maintain a positive image and reputation with the community and to maintain census at the highest possible level.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

A.            Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ability to handle multiple priorities, develop a cohesive management team, direct the overall operation of the residence and make business decisions on a daily basis is required. Must be knowledgeable in the business of providing long-term personal care, as well as current state and local long-term care standards.  The ability to handle emergency situations calmly and competently is essential. The ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing is essential. May require lifting, bending and standing for extended periods of time.

B.            Education

A bachelor's degree in business or a health related field from an accredited university or an associate’s degree/60 credit hours from an accredited college/university or an RN or an LPN with one year of work experience in a related field or a Nursing Home Administrator license.

C.            Experience

Requires a minimum of four years experience in the health care field, with at least two years experience in an administrator capacity.

D.            Certificates/Licenses

A Personal Care Home License as an Administrator is preferred; Nursing Home Administrator license accepted; RN or LPN accepted. Certificates or education as indicated by state/federal regulatory agencies required. A valid driver's license in the state employed is preferred.

Housekeeper - Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for cleaning Residents' rooms and residence common areas including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, etc. Discards waste into proper containers, replaces light bulbs and assists with any general housekeeping duties necessary.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

A.             Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ability to maintain a clean and neat environment is required. Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances is required. The ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards is required. The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is required. Requires frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time.

B.            Education

High school graduate, GED or active registry status on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry is required.

C.            Experience

Previous housekeeping experience in a health care or hospitality setting is

preferred.

D.            Certificate/Licenses

High school graduate, GED or active registry status on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry is required.

C.            Experience

Prior experience in the care of elderly is preferred.

D.            Certificates/Licenses

Home Health Care or Certified Nurses Aide certificate is preferred. CPR or first aid certificates preferred.

Laundry Assistant FT

JOB TITLE:

Laundry Assistant

SUMMARY:

Responsible for collecting and washing soiled laundry, linens and garments, separating out all items that require special stain removal and treatment. Presses or irons laundry as needed. Folds, sorts and distributes clean laundry. Performs housekeeping duties as required.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

A.            Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ability to maintain an adequate supply of clean laundry and linens is required.  Knowledge of basic cleaning and laundering techniques and practices is essential. The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is required. Requires frequent lifting, stretching, bending and standing for long periods of time. Requires pushing of linen carts.

Part Time Dish Washer

JOB TITLE:

Food Service Assistant/Dishwasher

SUMMARY:

Responsible for washing silverware, dishes, cooking utensils and appliances and cleaning kitchen and dining area. Operates the dishwasher, sweeps and mops floors; maintains food storage areas and refrigerator/freezer in a clean and orderly manner.  Returns clean dishes and utensils to proper storage area.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

A.             Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Requires the ability to maintain kitchen and dining areas, as well as all dishes, utensils and appliances in a clean and orderly manner. Knowledge of operating industrial dishwasher and knowledge of sanitation standards is essential. Requires frequent heavy lifting, bending, stretching and standing for extended periods of time. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.

B.            Education

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

C.            Experience

Six months to one year prior experience in food service or dishwashing is

preferred.

D.            Certificates/Licenses

As required by county/state in which employed.

Full Time Wait Staff

JOB TITLE:

Wait Staff

SUMMARY:

Responsible for preparing dining room for meals by setting tables, folding napkins, filling water glasses, providing and refilling condiments.  Assists in food preparation as needed.  Serves meals to Residents in a courteous and professional manner and clears dishes from tables to kitchen.  Removes soiled linens from tables and cleans and straightens dining room after meals.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Requires the knowledge of proper table setting and serving and the ability to follow such procedures. The ability to provide menu selection to Residents, follow individual dietary restrictions and take accurate orders is essential. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Requires frequent heavy lifting, standing for extensive periods of time, bending, stooping and stretching.

B.            Education

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

C.            Experience

Six months to one year prior experience in food service or waiting is preferred.
