IntegraCare Among Industry's Top 70 Providers

Posted on AOL Money & Finance

WEXFORD, Pa., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the nation's fastest growing Senior Living providers is showing no signs of slowing down.

IntegraCare Corporation continued its strong and steady growth last year, increasing its senior living capacity from 575 to 764. The 33-percent growth helped land IntegraCare on Assisted Living Executive magazine's list of the 70 largest assisted living care providers in the country for 2008.

IntegraCare recently added 145 units to its capacity when it became involved with The Woods at Cedar Run in Camp Hill, PA.

Rick Irwin, founding partner and CEO, said the company works to meet community needs by finding struggling facilities and turning them around. IntegraCare does so by following its 3-Dimensional Focus.

"The secret to our success can be found right in our mission statement," Irwin said. "We have built this business upon the very simple idea of improving the lives of the people we serve -- our employees, our residents and their families. We have always believed that when you create a workforce that feels empowered and respected in their positions, they will in turn provide a higher level of service for our residents and their family members. We call it our 3-Dimensional Focus."

IntegraCare's philosophy has enabled the company to grow and thrive. Irwin and Loriann Putzier, vice president of operations for IntegraCare, founded the company in November of 1999.

Following what Irwin and Putzier have termed the "ICC Distinctives," which includes the 3-Dimensional Focus, they have led the company on a quick ascension to be among the country's top providers. The Distinctives are a list of policies and procedures that cover everything from how the environment of facilities should be maintained to how residents and their families should be engaged and even the company's commitment to retaining employees. Each Distinctive clearly notes why it's important, how it should be carried out and the parties responsible making certain the Distinctive is properly instituted.

"We're pleased that we have been able to expand our services even during these troubling economic times," said Putzier. "This is a 'people business.' Our success comes from putting our people first, including our residents, their families and our employees."

In addition to the Woods at Cedar Run in Camp Hill, IntegraCare's also has communities located in Butler, Chambersburg, Greensburg, Lancaster and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a community in Lanham, Maryland.
