IntegraCare selected as Business Ethics Finalist
IntegraCare was recently selected as a finalist for this year’s Pittsburgh Business Ethics Awards – Medium Company Category. This program seeks to honor companies that demonstrate a firm commitment to ethical practices in their everyday operations, philosophies and in response to crises and challenges.
This year IntegraCare was chosen as a finalist because of the overarching cultural values of transparency, honesty, integrity, and decisions based on the concept of doing the right thing. At IntegraCare, these paradigms are woven into the fabric of hiring practices, training, and problem solving. Decisions are made utilizing the highest ethical standards of business and healthcare, not on the premise of convenience or self-serving motives. All senior and middle management team members are held accountable to these standards as well as their perpetuation at all nine senior living communities.

What’s cooking? Family caregivers under pressure
It will be 2011 when the first wave of baby boomers hit 65.
The number of people 65 and older has leveled off since 1990, but in a June study, Pew Research Center said that age group will start rising again when the first of 76 million baby boomers become senior citizens.
