TYRONE, Pa. – Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone earned U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Senior Living status by achieving the highest possible rating in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone’s Best Assisted Living and Best Memory Care status is a result of U.S. News & World Report’s trusted, data-backed ratings of the best senior living communities across the United States.
“Our team is dedicated around the clock to supporting residents and their families in meaningful ways,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. “At the end of the day, it’s not just about the setting. It’s about the experience and care that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Recognition from U.S. News as a Best Senior Living community reinforces that commitment and affirms the impact our teams are making every day.”
Now in its fifth year, the 2026 Best Senior Living ratings from U.S. News evaluated more than 3,000 communities across the United States. Communities were assessed on several key criteria, including resident and family member satisfaction with safety, care, community management, staff, value and other essential services and amenities.
U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of “Best Senior Living” only to those communities that meet its objective, data-driven standards, reflecting the feedback of hundreds of thousands of consumers nationwide. The highest-rated communities in each care level earned a Best Senior Living rating.
The survey results provide real-world perspectives from the people who matter most, residents and their families.
“This place is like home to me. I am treated really good here by everyone and I have a cute little apartment fixed up really nice,” a Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone resident responded in the survey. “I also keep busy with fun activities every day. We do things that go on the computer and my family watches for my pictures. They can see I am happy and busy, which makes them feel good too.”
Family members also noticed the quality of care provided by the Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone team.
“Having had other family members in other communities, I can attest that Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone is the best,” responded an adult relative of a resident. “After a few days of being in the community, my uncle’s health improved because of the attentiveness and high quality of care he received, and continues to receive.”
U.S. News also recognizes outstanding performance in several areas with a High Performing accolade. This recognition is awarded to communities that scored in the top 25% of evaluated communities nationwide for caregiving, activities and enrichment, management and staff, food and “feels like home.”
In addition to the primary ratings, Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone received accolades in Assisted Living-Caregiving and Assisted Living-Feels Like Home.
“Choosing a senior living community is a significant life decision for older adults and their families. U.S. News’ Best Senior Living ratings provide a transparent, data-driven tool to help families identify the highest-quality care available,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis at U.S. News. “We commend the communities that have earned this distinction, which reflects a deep commitment to resident well-being and exceptional service.”
