GREAT FALLS, Va. – The Residence at Colvin Run earned U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Senior Living status by achieving the highest possible rating in Memory Care.

The Residence at Colvin Run’s Best Memory Care status is a result of U.S. News & World Report’s trusted, data-backed ratings of the best senior living communities across the United States.

“Our team is dedicated around the clock to supporting residents and their families in meaningful ways,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates The Residence at Colvin Run. “At the end of the day, it’s not just about the setting. It’s about the experience and care that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Recognition from U.S. News as a Best Senior Living community reinforces that commitment and affirms the impact our teams are making every day.”

Now in its fifth year, the 2026 Best Senior Living ratings from U.S. News evaluated more than 3,000 communities across the United States. Communities were assessed on several key criteria, including resident and family member satisfaction with safety, care, community management, staff, value and other essential services and amenities.

U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of “Best Senior Living” only to those communities that meet its objective, data-driven standards, reflecting the feedback of hundreds of thousands of consumers nationwide. The highest-rated communities in each care level earned a Best Senior Living rating.

The survey results provide real-world perspectives from the people who matter most, residents and their families.

“Colvin Run has a strong culture of caring,” said one respondent to the survey. “I moved my mother from another facility and the difference is night and day. She is thriving now and very happy. It’s a small, lovely facility and family members are very active in the community.”

Another family member stated in the survey how much the care and activities available to her mother has made an impact.

“My mother has been a resident in assisted living going on two years,” the survey respondent said. “Her overall care has been positive. The activities team and many of the nurses and assistants are outstanding. They provide my mother with the mental and physical care that she needs. They have worked with the family to facilitate meeting her cognitive decline in a way that is respectful and supports her quality of life. The interior and exterior of the facility are well kept and support a sense of home. There have been wonderful opportunities to participate in and out of the facility. We are grateful that our mother is safe and overall happy.”

U.S. News also recognizes outstanding performance in several areas with a High Performing accolade. This recognition is awarded to communities that scored in the top 25% of evaluated communities nationwide for caregiving, activities and enrichment, management and staff, food and “feels like home.”

In addition to the primary ratings, The Residence at Colvin Run received accolades in Memory Care-Management and Staff; Memory Care-Caregiving; and Memory Care-Food and Dining.

“Choosing a senior living community is a significant life decision for older adults and their families. U.S. News’ Best Senior Living ratings provide a transparent, data-driven tool to help families identify the highest-quality care available,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis at U.S. News. “We commend the communities that have earned this distinction, which reflects a deep commitment to resident well-being and exceptional service.”
