EASTON, Md. – Candle Light Cove earned IntegraCare’s Silver Level Award for its prompt handling of residents’ callbell requests during the third quarter of 2025.
When a resident needs assistance, whether it’s for routine help or an emergency, they can push a pendant they carry on them. During the quarter, Candle Light Cove’s team responded in person to each call in an average of 1 minute, 56 seconds to attain Silver Level status.
“Every callbell press is a chance to make someone’s day a little easier,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates Candle Light Cove. “It’s not just about speed — it’s about reassurance. When residents call, they know a caring person will be there to help.”
Candle Light Cove achieved a 94% success rate in answering its residents’ callbell requests.
“Our team understands that response time reflects respect,” Rouvelas said. “Whether it’s helping with mobility, comfort or a simple request, our quick, reliable care shows residents that they can depend on us, any time of day.”
To reach the Gold Level, an IntegraCare community needs an Average Response Time under 3 minutes and a Success Rate (calls answered in under 10 minutes) above 95%. To attain Silver, a community needs an Average Response Time under 4 minutes and Success Rate above 90%.
“Technology like callbells only works because of the people behind it,” Rouvelas said. “Our team’s attentiveness transforms a simple system into a powerful expression of safety and trust.”
“Callbells are more than buttons. They’re trust in action,” Rouvelas added. “Whether a resident needs help getting dressed or just a glass of water, every call matters. Our team’s quick, caring responses show residents we’re here for them. Always.”
