Intimate New Neighborhood Delivers Personalized Support While Preserving Comfort, Connection and Continuity in Easton Senior Living Community
EASTON, Md. — Candle Light Cove senior living community has expanded its continuum of care with the recent opening of LifeBridges, an intimate new neighborhood designed to support residents with higher care needs while preserving comfort, connection and dignity.
“LifeBridges offers advanced, personalized care in a smaller-scale setting that remains fully connected to the greater Candle Light Cove community,” said Steven Schuyler, Executive Operations Officer. “The neighborhood supports residents in place with confidence, even as their needs change over time.”
LifeBridges features 16 private rooms within a warm, close-knit environment intentionally designed to feel less clinical and more like home. The neighborhood, which opened on Oct. 1, includes its own private dining room, living room, courtyard and shared common areas, providing residents with familiar, easily accessible spaces that support both independence and safety.
“A key feature of LifeBridges is its emphasis on dining with dignity,” said Grace Lyons, Community Relations Director at Candle Light Cove. “The private dining room allows residents who need assistance to receive it discreetly, without feeling self-conscious or rushed, while still enjoying meaningful social interaction and a calm, respectful atmosphere.”
The neighborhood also offers its own dedicated activities calendar, allowing for greater flexibility, more individualized programming, and increased one-on-one engagement. Daily offerings include exercise, “Meal Mates” support, and a variety of enriching experiences such as baking activities and music therapy.
The LifeBridges neighborhood is supported by three caregivers for its 16 residents. Activities are led by Samantha Daniels, director of LifeStages and LifeBridges, with two activity assistants closely involved in residents’ daily engagement and well-being.
“What truly sets LifeBridges apart is the neighborhood’s ability to reduce the disruption often associated with increased care needs,” Daniels said. “While residents may move into the LifeBridges neighborhood as their needs change, they remain within the same community and are supported by familiar team members who already know their preferences, routines, and life stories.”
By combining 24/7 personalized assistance, thoughtful dining and activities, and seamless transitions between levels of care, LifeBridges was intentionally designed to honor residents not just for the care they require, but for the lives and legacies they bring with them.
“LifeBridges reflects our commitment to meeting residents where they are, without asking them to give up the sense of home, connection, and respect they’ve built here,” Schuyler said. “It’s about providing the right level of care while preserving everything that makes life meaningful.
“At its heart, LifeBridges is about honoring the whole person,” Schuyler added. “Care may evolve, but dignity, connection, and belonging remain constant.”
