CLEARFIELD, Pa. – Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield earned IntegraCare’s Silver Level
Award for its prompt handling of residents’ callbell requests during the fourth quarter of 2024.
When a resident needs assistance, whether it’s for routine help or an emergency, they can push a pendant they carry on them. During the quarter, Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield’s team responded in person to each call in an average of 3 minutes, 6 seconds to attain Silver Level status for a second consecutive quarter.
The callbell systems handle more than potential crisis situations. They’re also the residents’ connection to the team for help with more routine needs.
“Callbells aren’t just about emergencies, said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare. “They are for a wide variety of daily needs ranging from dressing, moving from place to place, or even getting a glass of water. We encourage our residents to ring the callbell when they need us.”
“Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield’s assisted living residents rang the callbell 72 times per day, on average, and the team answered those calls quickly and reliably,” Rouvelas said. “Our communities offer an enjoyable quality of life, and when you need help, we’ll be there for you. Few things deliver on that promise more vividly than, when a resident pushes a call button for help, that we respond quickly and reliably. It’s about resident safety. And it’s about resident respect.”
A recent U.S. News & World Report survey highlighted this commitment to respect and responsiveness. As part of its annual Best of Senior Living recognition, the renowned publication gathered insights from residents and family members across 3,500 senior living communities nationwide, including 17 IntegraCare communities. The feedback underscored the dedication to quality care and the peace of mind that comes from knowing help is always within reach.
“Both my father and mother have been residents of Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield, and the experiences for both were excellent,” said those residents’ family member John in the U.S. News survey. “The entire facility is warm and friendly and displays true care and concern for everyone. Since I live in Pittsburgh, I can always rest assured my parents received and continue to receive the best care by wonderful, committed people.”
A resident at Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield for more than five years, Karen commended the team at the senior living community. The efficient callbell response time isn’t surprising to her.
“Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield is a beautiful, well-kept facility with excellent staff that love and care about the residents,” Karen said in the U.S. News survey. “Staff and residents connect like a big family.”
The community wants its families to know its callbell response performance. It posts on its website a daily update: Yesterday’s Callbell Response Times.
