TYRONE, Pa. – Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone earned IntegraCare’s Gold Level Award for its prompt handling of residents’ callbell requests during the second quarter of 2026.

When a resident needs assistance, whether it’s for routine help or an emergency, they can push a pendant they carry on them. During the quarter, Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone’s team responded in person to each call in an average of 1 minutes, 7 seconds to attain Gold Level status after previously earning Silver Level in seven consecutive quarters.

“Every callbell is an opportunity to reassure a resident that they are never alone,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. “A timely response is about more than answering a call. It reflects our commitment to providing dependable, compassionate care. When our team responds with both urgency and kindness, we strengthen the trust that helps residents feel secure, respected and cared for every day.”

To reach the Gold Level, an IntegraCare community needs an Average Response Time under 3 minutes. To attain Silver, a community needs an Average Response Time under 4. IntegraCare operates 17 senior living communities in three states.

“At its heart, the callbell is about connection,” Rouvelas said. “It’s a reminder that every interaction matters and that being present, responsive and kind is what turns care into something residents can truly rely on.”

The community wants its families to know its callbell response performance. It posts on its website a daily update:  Yesterday’s Callbell Response Times
