CAMP Hill, Pa. – The Woods at Cedar Run earned U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Senior Living status by achieving the highest possible rating in Assisted Living.

The Woods at Cedar Run’s Best Assisted Living status is a result of U.S. News & World Report’s trusted, data-backed ratings of the best senior living communities across the United States.

“Our team is dedicated around the clock to supporting residents and their families in meaningful ways,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates The Woods at Cedar Run. “At the end of the day, it’s not just about the setting. It’s about the experience and care that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Recognition from U.S. News as a Best Senior Living community reinforces that commitment and affirms the impact our teams are making every day.”

Now in its fifth year, the 2026 Best Senior Living ratings from U.S. News evaluated more than 3,000 communities across the United States. Communities were assessed on several key criteria, including resident and family member satisfaction with safety, care, community management, staff, value and other essential services and amenities.

U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of “Best Senior Living” only to those communities that meet its objective, data-driven standards, reflecting the feedback of hundreds of thousands of consumers nationwide. The highest-rated communities in each care level earned a Best Senior Living rating.

The survey results provide real-world perspectives from the people who matter most, residents and their families.

“The Woods at Cedar Run provides a warm, home-like environment run by compassionate staff,” one survey respondent said.

“My mom has moved from Independent Living to Assisted Living, and she may be moved to Memory Care,” another respondent said. “The staff had been very accommodating in every transition. There are many planned activities and special events available for the residents. The staff take personal interest in their residents. This is a wonderful senior living community.”

The team members at The Woods go beyond expectations, according to another survey respondent.

“The entire staff are genuinely interested in your loved ones,” the family member said in the survey. “It feels like this is more than just a job to them. They really care about the residents.  They take the time to not only learn everyone’s name, but also their likes, dislikes and special needs. Placing your loved one’s care and life in someone else’s hands is an extremely stressful decision. The Woods at Cedar Run has removed the stress from that decision and the family can relax in knowing that their family is in a safe place and receiving consistently loving care.”

Such sentiments are echoed by national experts who emphasize the importance of clear, trusted guidance when families evaluate their options. In recognizing top-performing communities, U.S. News & World Report underscores the value of transparency and high standards in senior living.

“Choosing a senior living community is a significant life decision for older adults and their families. U.S. News’ Best Senior Living ratings provide a transparent, data-driven tool to help families identify the highest-quality care available,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis at U.S. News. “We commend the communities that have earned this distinction, which reflects a deep commitment to resident well-being and exceptional service.”
