GLEN MILLS, Pa. – At Glen Mills Senior Living, wellness isn’t just a service. It’s a culture.
The IntegraCare community has developed a robust network of programs designed to support residents physically, emotionally and medically, ensuring each individual has the tools and resources to live life with confidence and independence.
From the moment a new resident arrives, the VIP 360 program sets the tone for a smooth transition.
Each resident is assigned a director who walks beside them throughout their first eight weeks at the community. Through routine check-ins, families gain reassurance and residents feel supported as they settle into their new home.
“Our goal is to meet residents where they are and surround them with care that helps them thrive,” said Courtney Mullin, Resident Wellness Director.
Mullin brings a proactive and safety-focused approach to wellness at Glen Mills. Her philosophy centers on prevention, early intervention and empowering seniors to maintain as much independence as possible.
“Wellness isn’t just about care,” Mullin said. “It’s also about confidence. When residents feel supported, prepared and encouraged, they thrive. Our goal is to help each person live fully, safely and independently for as long as possible.”
To support strength, mobility and daily function, Glen Mills partners with EmpowerMe Therapy, offering on-site physical and occupational therapy services. “Residents can build confidence in movement, rehabilitate from injury, and stay active through specialized therapy tailored to their needs,” Mullin said.
Health oversight is continuous rather than reactive.
Monthly wellness checks from both the wellness director and each resident’s primary care physician help identify concerns early and guide residents toward healthier outcomes. Medication Administration Record (MAR) reviews add another layer of support by routinely monitoring medication lists to prevent polypharmacy concerns and reduce unnecessary prescriptions — an approach that improves comfort, cognition and overall well-being.
When care needs extend beyond personal care support, Glen Mills collaborates with BAYADA Home Health and Covenant Home Health, bringing skilled nursing services directly to residents. This partnership reduces hospitalizations and allows individuals to receive advanced care in the place they call home.
“We are proud of the systems we have in place to ensure residents feel safe, cared for and valued,” said Leslie Simon, Executive Operations Officer at Glen Mills Senior Living. “It’s about creating a seamless experience so families know their loved ones are supported from every angle.”
Community connections also play a major role. Lucia Piscoglio and Marie Bourdeau, both Community Relations Directors at Glen Mills, help residents stay engaged and ensure families are informed about the resources and wellness opportunities available.
Glen Mills’ layered approach to wellness — through personalized transition support, clinical partnerships, therapy services and a focus on preventive care — strengthens quality of life while respecting dignity and independence.
“For residents and families, our commitment to these wellness initiatives truly provide peace of mind,” Simon said. “And for our community, it reflects what quality care should be. Our team provides support that residents and their loved ones can rely on with confidence.”
