BUTLER, Pa. — Two team members from Newhaven Court at Clearview were honored during the ninth annual Butler County Health Care Worker Recognition Awards held March 4 at The Atrium.
Medication Associate Tracy McKissick was named Direct Care Worker of the Year, while Dining Experience Server Colleen Dickson received the Non-Direct Care Worker of the Year honor through the program hosted by the Butler County Health Care Consortium and the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board.
Representatives from the senior living community attending the event included Krystle Pry, Executive Operations Officer at Newhaven Court at Clearview, and Gary Renwick, Area General Manager for IntegraCare.
McKissick has been part of the team at Newhaven Court at Clearview since April 1997, building lasting relationships with residents and families over nearly three decades of service.
“Tracy has been serving the residents of Clearview for nearly 30 years, since the day our community opened,” Pry said. “She has dedicated herself to the care, comfort and quality of life of more than 900 residents who have called our senior living community home.”
Pry said McKissick has consistently demonstrated compassion and commitment throughout her career.
“Tracy has spent countless holidays, evenings and weekends as a steady support and fierce advocate for our residents,” Pry said. “She truly wears her heart on her sleeve. Families, visitors and friends know Tracy for her kindness, enthusiasm and the genuine joy she brings to her work.”
“The impact Tracy has had on our residents, their loved ones and her team is incredible,” Pry added. “You can see it in the way she shows up every single day.”
Dickson, who has been part of the Newhaven Court at Clearview team for seven years, was recognized for the compassion and positivity she brings to residents and coworkers alike.
“Colleen has served our residents with care and compassion that truly feels unmatched,” Pry said. “Residents describe her as loving, patient and kind. Her teammates recognize her for her selflessness, willingness to take the lead, and the positive environment she creates for everyone around her.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dickson occasionally stepped beyond her kitchen duties to help cover shifts in the community’s Red Zone, providing comfort and reassurance to residents during an especially difficult time, Pry said.
