Monthly Education and Support Series Connects York Seniors and Caregivers to both Local and National Professionals
YORK, Pa. – The Residence at Fitz Farm will support seniors, families and caregivers in the York region through its 2026 Memory Connections Group, a free monthly series that offers education, resources and practical guidance related to dementia, aging, caregiving and memory care.
The monthly sessions, held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the senior living community’s theater room, will feature presentations and discussions in partnership with Good News Consulting and other community-based professionals and agencies.
“Our goal is to strengthen connections between the community and those who support older adults in York,” said Kayla Koller, Community Relations Director at The Residence at Fitz Farm. “We’re excited to announce our 2026 lineup and showcase the meaningful impact this program will have for seniors, their families and caregivers through sessions led by both local and national speakers.”
The Memory Connections Group will feature a distinctive lineup of monthly topics and presenters, including experts in senior care, historical education, documentary storytelling, senior fitness, safety and dementia awareness.
Guests will include representatives from local organizations and national foundations, offering a variety of perspectives and real-world resources.

- January 28 – The Assassination and Funeral of Abraham Lincoln, with Ernie Heffner, Heffner Funeral Home & Crematory
- February 25 – Fall Prevention, with Megan Craley, York County Agency on Aging
- March 25 – “Alive Inside: Music and Memories”
- April 29 – Parkinson’s Awareness, featuring Kate Harmon from the Michael J. Fox Foundation
- May 27 – Firearm Safety Discussion, with the York County Sheriff’s Department
- June 24 – “Taking Care” Documentary, featuring actor Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller Rogen
- July 29 – “A Road Trip to Remember” Documentary, featuring actor Chris Hemsworth and travel safety
- August 26 – Legal Chat, with Attorney Carrie Pugh
- September 30 – Frontotemporal Dementia Awareness Month, including interviews featuring Emma Hemming Willis and Bruce Willis
- October 28 – Fall Fitness, presented by EmpowerMe Wellness therapists
- November 18 – “I’ll Be Me” – The Glenn Campbell Story
- December 16 – “A Keller Christmas Vacation” – A Hallmark Christmas Story, including seasonal refreshments
