Exclusive Recognition as Only Erie Community to Receive Review-Based Honor
ERIE, Pa. – The Residence at Presque Isle Bay received a 2024 Best of Senior Living Award presented by A Place for Mom (APFM), the leading online platform and trusted advisory service for senior care in North America.
The Residence at Presque Isle Bay is the only senior living community in the Erie region to receive the 2024 honor. It highlights the top-rated senior living communities and in-home care providers nationwide and is determined by the reviews of residents and their families.
A Place for Mom’s 2024 Best of Senior Living Awards recognizes the top 1-to-2% of nearly 45,000 senior care providers across the country for providing exemplary care and support to seniors.
“Our team members focus on improving the lives of our residents and their families. They don’t seek recognition or awards. That said, earning a Best of Senior Living Award from A Place for Mom doesn’t happen by accident,” said Larry Rouvelas, Chief Executive Officer at IntegraCare, which operates The Residence at Presque Isle Bay.
“This recognition happens because The Residence at Presque Isle Bay makes residents and their families happy. Then, those residents and family members share their experiences in reviews on A Place for Mom,” Rouvelas said. “This award is based on positive reviews by the people in our care, so that makes it an even more significant honor.”
In March 2022, IntegraCare took over management of The Residence at Presque Isle Bay — one of 17 communities it runs, mostly in Pennsylvania. IntegraCare brought its 3-Dimensional Focus, a culture of care and well-being that benefits team members, residents and their family members. The results have earned many fans in Erie:
- “I moved here six months ago, and after one month, I felt unbelievably refreshed and was so glad this was the place I chose,” one reviewer wrote on a post shared by A Place for Mom. “Great environment, caring staff, marvelous food, and a wonderful callbell system.”
- “The staff is great. They go above and beyond what would be expected,” another reviewer posted. “I recently had an experience that really made me realize how great the staff is. so kind and caring. They are truly an excellent group of people.”
- “The Residence at Presque Isle Bay is wonderful, great friendly staff, beautiful views, lots of activities, good meals,” a third reviewer said. “We just placed our mom there and she loves it. She told us she feels safe and we don’t have to worry anymore. The staff is there to take care of whatever she needs and will keep her moving.”
These are only a few examples of the reviews that led to The Residence at Presque Isle Bay receiving Best of Senior Living recognition by A Place for Mom.
