TYRONE, Pa. – Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone earned IntegraCare’s Silver Level Award for its prompt handling of residents’ callbell requests during the first quarter of 2026.
When a resident needs assistance, whether it’s for routine help or an emergency, they can push a pendant they carry on them. During the quarter, Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone’s team responded in person to each call in an average of 2 minutes, 43 seconds to attain Silver Level status for a seventh consecutive quarter.
“Every time a resident presses the callbell, it’s more than a request. It’s a moment of trust,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. “Our role is to answer that call with urgency and compassion, because consistent, caring responses are what help residents feel safe, valued and supported each day.”
To reach the Gold Level, an IntegraCare community needs an Average Response Time under 3 minutes. To attain Silver, a community needs an Average Response Time under 4 minutes. IntegraCare operates 17 senior living communities in three states.
“Our response to a callbell says a lot about who we are,” Rouvelas said. “It reflects our respect for residents and our dedication to being dependable, no matter the need or the time of day.”
The community wants its families to know its callbell response performance. It posts on its website a daily update: Yesterday’s Callbell Response Times
