Recognition Spotlights High Satisfaction Among Residents and Families
BEDFORD, Pennsylvania – For a third consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has named Colonial Courtyard at Bedford in its Best Senior Living ratings.
Colonial Courtyard at Bedford’s Best Assisted Living achievement is a result of U.S. News & World Report’s trusted, data-backed ratings of the best senior living communities across the United States.
“Our community teams work 24/7 to enhance the lives of our seniors and their families,” said Larry Rouvelas, IntegraCare CEO. “While beautiful buildings and amenities are appealing, it’s the quality of life within those buildings that matters.”
The awards are based entirely on third-party surveys of residents and families. For its 2024 Best Senior Living Ratings, U.S. News & World Report surveyed them in nearly 3,500 communities on several criteria, including resident and family members’ satisfaction with safety, care, community management and staff, value and other services and amenities provided by the community.
U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of “Best Senior Living” only to those communities that satisfy its statistical assessment of performance on consumer satisfaction surveys administered in the previous two calendar years, reflecting the viewpoints of more than 400,000 residents and family members. Only the highest-rated communities in each care level earned a “Best” rating.
Colonial Courtyard at Bedford earned Best Assisted Living after previously achieving the same status in 2023 and 2022. This year, the senior living community at 220 Donahue Manor Road in Bedford also earned Best Memory Care, an impressive accomplishment considering the Memory Care Unit opened at Colonial Courtyard at Bedford in September 2022.
“Best Senior Living reflects U.S. News’ commitment to helping families navigate the important – albeit time-consuming – decision of researching and choosing a senior living community through trusted, data-backed community ratings,” said Sumita Singh, general manager of health at U.S. News & World Report. “We are proud to recognize those communities that stand out as ‘Best’ by providing exceptional care and satisfaction, as directly expressed by residents and family members of residents who live and thrive in these communities.”
