GREENSBURG, Pa. – Newhaven Court at Lindwood earned U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Senior Living status by achieving the highest possible rating in Memory Care.
Newhaven Court at Lindwood’s Best Memory Care status is a result of U.S. News & World Report’s trusted, data-backed ratings of the best senior living communities across the United States.
“Our community teams work 24/7 to enhance the lives of our seniors and their families,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates Newhaven Court at Lindwood. “While beautiful buildings and amenities are appealing, it’s the quality of life within those buildings that matters.”
The awards are based entirely on third-party surveys of residents and families. For its 2025 Best Senior Living ratings, U.S. News & World Report surveyed them in nearly 3,800 communities on several criteria, including resident and family members’ satisfaction with safety, care, community management and staff, value and other services and amenities provided by the community.
U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of “Best Senior Living” only to those communities that satisfy U.S. News’ rigorous, data-driven standard. It is a statistical assessment of performance based on consumer satisfaction surveys from the past two calendar years, incorporating feedback from over 450,000 residents and family members. Only the highest-rated communities in each care level received a ‘Best’ rating.
The survey results provide real-world perspectives from the people who matter most, residents and their families.
“The caregivers in the Life Stories unit at Lindwood are angels,” said survey respondent Debbie, whose father is in memory care. “They are very caring and attentive, and my father lights up when they are helping him. It is a blessing to know that he is well cared for and content.”
The Newhaven Court at Lindwood team is dedicated to improving the lives of each resident in the Life Stories memory care neighborhood.
“The management and staff at Linwood are caring, respectful and creative,” responded Matt, who has a family member in memory care. “They went out of their way to address our personal situation which resulted in the best possible outcome for a difficult situation. I highly recommend the memory care team. Skilled, respectful and caring.”
Retired Registered Nurse Debra Potts responded to the U.S. News survey by recounting how much her aunt contributed to her life and the lives of others over the years, and now she deserves to receive the best possible care in her golden years.
“The biggest decision so far in my life as the power of attorney and niece of my aunt was making sure she had a place that would take care of all of her needs and that they would be met,” Potts responded in the survey. “I wanted a well-run facility with activities, incredible staff, nurses and doctors, good food, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance. And, in my aunt’s case, a great hairdresser.
“My aunt never had children of her own,” Potts continued in her survey response. “She worked hard her whole life taking care of others — as a seamstress in a factory and awning company; at the same time selling insurance and annuities for many years. Her most important duties however were her babysitting duties. She has always helped all of her nieces, nephews, and their children as her own. She so deserves to be where she can continue doing all of the activities she enjoyed at home. This is the place to be if you also feel as I do in placing your loved one(s) in a facility that does all the above.”
U.S. News also recognizes outstanding performance in several areas with a High Performing accolade. This recognition is awarded to communities that scored in the top 25% of evaluated communities nationwide for caregiving, activities and enrichment, management and staff, food and “feels like home.”
“Choosing a senior living community is a big life decision for older adults and their loved ones. U.S. News’ Best Senior Living ratings offer families a data-driven search tool, providing transparent and comprehensive assessments of quality,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis at U.S. News. “We commend the communities that have earned this distinction, reflecting their unwavering dedication to resident well-being and satisfaction.”
