The Pines of Mount Lebanon Recognizes Hospitality Associate’s 5-Year Milestone
PITTSBURGH — Roy Howell typically performs his duties behind the scenes at The Pines of Mount Lebanon senior living community. But recently the figurative spotlight found Howell, who was recognized for five years of service.
A Hospitality Associate, Howell is someone the senior residents count on, whether he’s cleaning rooms or the common areas of the senior living community; washing, pressing and distributing laundry; or simply assisting those in need of a hand.
“Roy is always there when the residents or his fellow team members need him,” said Dona Longstreth, Hospitality Services Supervisor at the Pines of Mount Lebanon. “He’s dependable and he takes pride in his work. Roy always puts the residents’ needs first, and if someone needs assistance, he will stop what he’s doing at that moment to help.”
The Pines of Mount Lebanon recognized Howell for his five years of service to the residents and team at the IntegraCare senior living community. The Pittsburgh native is a familiar face throughout the community, often pushing his cart loaded with cleaning supplies.
“I appreciate this recognition,” Howell said. “I truly enjoy working with our team in order to improve the lives of our residents. I really do feel appreciated by the residents. My goal is to make a difference by maintaining the cleanliness of our building.”
Team members such as Roy Howell enable IntegraCare senior living communities to stand apart from others, according to Gary Renwick, IntegraCare Area General Manager (West). IntegraCare manages 17 senior living communities in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.
“Roy is a dedicated and hard-working team member who puts the residents’ needs first,” Renwick said. “He also exemplifies the spirit of IntegraCare and our 3-Dimensional Focus of improving the lives of our team members, who in turn improve the lives of our residents while providing their family members a peace of mind.”
