YORK, Pa. – The Residence at Fitz Farm earned U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Senior Living status by achieving the highest possible rating in Assisted Living.
The Residence at Fitz Farm’s Best Assisted Living status is a result of U.S. News & World Report’s trusted, data-backed ratings of the best senior living communities across the United States.
“Our team is dedicated around the clock to supporting residents and their families in meaningful ways,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates the Residence at Fitz Farm. “At the end of the day, it’s not just about the setting. It’s about the experience and care that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Recognition from U.S. News as a Best Senior Living community reinforces that commitment and affirms the impact our teams are making every day.”
Now in its fifth year, the 2026 Best Senior Living ratings from U.S. News evaluated more than 3,000 communities across the United States. Communities were assessed on several key criteria, including resident and family member satisfaction with safety, care, community management, staff, value and other essential services and amenities.
U.S. News & World Report awards the designation of “Best Senior Living” only to those communities that meet its objective, data-driven standards, reflecting the feedback of hundreds of thousands of consumers nationwide. The highest-rated communities in each care level earned a Best Senior Living rating.
The survey results provide real-world perspectives from the people who matter most, residents and their families.
“Our experience with Fitz Farm has been nothing short of exceptional,” said one survey respondent. “From the moment we arrived, my mother has been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff’s compassion and professionalism shine through in every interaction. The food is absolutely delicious — home-cooked quality that brings comfort and joy. And the building? Immaculately clean and incredibly welcoming. Fitz Farm truly feels like a second home, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
Another survey respondent praised the continuum of care available at The Woods.
“The Residence at Fitz Farm has three levels of care which helps the residents lead a more active and independent life,” the family member said.
Such sentiments are echoed by national experts who emphasize the importance of clear, trusted guidance when families evaluate their options. In recognizing top-performing communities, U.S. News & World Report underscores the value of transparency and high standards in senior living.
“Choosing a senior living community is a significant life decision for older adults and their families. U.S. News’ Best Senior Living ratings provide a transparent, data-driven tool to help families identify the highest-quality care available,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis at U.S. News. “We commend the communities that have earned this distinction, which reflects a deep commitment to resident well-being and exceptional service.”
