Alzheimer's Care Facilities - Dementia Care Facilities

This is a very warm, smaller facility, which was perfect for my mother as far as learning a new place with her memory issues. They basically rolled out the red carpet the day she came in. Everyone was so nice and like they were waiting for her to arrive and so excited. The rooms are a very comfortable size and updated. The staff are excellent! There are activities daily throughout the week.

We were very fortunate to be connected with Magnolia's of Chambersburg's Memory Care Unit. We can't say enough about our positive experience with them! Magnolia's sent a team to our town to do an evaluation of our loved one on an emergency basis. They were very professional, yet compassionate and worked quickly. Our loved one was placed within a week. They (the staff) were kind, patient and respectful with our loved one and gave her the best care possible in their secured unit. We were finally able to sleep at night knowing she was safe and cared for. The entire staff was incredible during our 13 months there and it is evident they take pride in what they do.

My wife began her Dementia journey in 2018. It slowly became worst over time. After 5 years I could not care for her. My children visited several facilities in our area and as a family, we chose Magnolias of Chambersburg. It was not easy for me, we have been married for 51 years. It turned out to be the right decision. Everything about Magnolias is first class. The staff is caring and compassionate. This gives me peace of mind knowing she is being so well cared for.

So far I have had 3 family members live at magnolias. We desperately needed a place for my grandfather in law to go and then that led to me working there and suggesting both my grandmothers move there too. Having a loved one with dementia is a devastating diagnosis. We kept my gram at home as long as we could but we needed help and Magnolias was there. The peace of mind we have knowing she is safe is priceless. We see a whole different side of her participating in exercises and singing. Another side we see is the “sassy” side. The staff handles that great with redirection and just some plain compassion for the individual. They work with the families to learn about each resident.

I moved my parents here in February from another local facility. We absolutely love it here! One parent is in memory care and doing soooo much better. They have managed her medication well, she is in a better mood, and happier. Her personal care is better too - she is always clean and appropriately dressed and groomed. My dad is in personal care. His apartment is so nice! And he loves the food. Such a difference! The nursing and medical tech staff are very knowledgeable and caring. They really get to know the patients and genuinely care about them. They take the time to speak to the family as well, and are always helpful. The facility is pretty and clean, with nice little nooks to have a seat, and pleasant outdoor spaces. It is a smaller facility than we came from, and we can see a huge difference in the care both receive. All staff appear happy and are friendly and pleasant. The admissions counselor and facility director are amazing people - just so nice and fun, really get to know the residents, and made the transition super easy and quick. I truly cannot say enough how happy we are to have made this move. It is a hidden gem, and we are so grateful!
