LANCASTER, Pa. – Magnolias of Lancaster earned IntegraCare’s Silver Level Award for its prompt handling of residents’ callbell requests during the second quarter of 2025.
When a resident needs assistance, whether it’s for routine help or an emergency, they can push a pendant they carry on them. During the quarter, the Magnolias of Lancaster team responded in person to each call in an average of 2 minutes, 41 seconds to attain Silver Level status.
“Callbell systems are an essential part of how we care for our residents every day,” said Larry Rouvelas, CEO of IntegraCare, which operates Magnolias of Lancaster. “They’re not just for emergencies. They’re a reliable way for residents to ask for help with daily routines, whether it’s getting dressed, moving around, or simply needing a hand with something small. We encourage residents to use the callbell whenever they need us.”
Magnolias of Lancaster residents’ callbell requests were answered at a 92% success rate during the second quarter this year.
“Our team members respond with urgency and empathy each time a call comes through,” Rouvelas said. “It’s one of the most visible ways we demonstrate our dedication to safety and compassion. That quick, thoughtful response sends a powerful message: You matter, and we’re here for you.”
To win Gold, a community needs an Average Response Time under 3 minutes and a Success Rate (calls answered in under 10 minutes) above 95%. To win Silver, a community needs Average Response Time under 4 minutes and Success Rate above 90%.
“Callbells are more than buttons. They’re trust in action,” Rouvelas said. “Whether a resident needs help getting dressed or just a glass of water, every call matters. Our team’s quick, caring responses show residents we’re here for them. Always.”
