Senior living community, Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging partner in annual event
CLEARFIELD, Pa. – August often is known for bringing us the so-called “dog days of summer.”
But the Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield team and residents associate the month of August with the Summer Celebration.
Once again, the senior living community will partner with the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., to hold the annual Summer Celebration. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 14-15 at the Knights of Columbus Banquet Hall, 512 Arnold Avenue, Clearfield.
This year’s theme is “God Bless America.”
“Our team at Colonial Courtyard is both honored and excited to be a part of this great tradition,” said Rebecca Dale, Executive Director of Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield. “The Summer Celebration is very important to us. This is an awesome event and a fun time for all of those who participate. The celebration unites seniors who have fun and enjoy great food and fellowship.”
The themed event is held for seniors age 55 and older who reside in Clearfield County.
Shannon’s Catering will cater the meal, which will consist of roast beef, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, salad, apple pie and beverages.
The Vagabonds will provide musical entertainment. Door prizes will be awarded, and a costume parade will be held in conjunction with the Summer Celebration.
Advance tickets cost $6 and may be purchased at Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield at 814.765.2246, or the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging at 814.765.2696 or 1.800.255.8571.
