CCC team effort generated more than $4,000 in donations during past two years

DUBOIS, Pa. – The numbers are in, and Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield once again played a significant role in another successful Walk to End Alzheimer’s event.
A group of five Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield team members and four children participated in this year’s event held at DuBois Memorial Park on Sept. 15. The Walk culminated a fund-raising effort that produced donations of $1,968.
“Our Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield team once again did a fantastic job in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s as well as during our fund-raising throughout the year,” said Sandy English, Director of Sales and Marketing at the senior living community. “We raised money during our annual Leonard Street Car Show, at a ‘Sip and Paint’ event and through dress down days. Everyone on our team helped the cause in some way.”
The Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield team wasn’t alone during the DuBois Walk. A total of 230 participants walked in the 2-mile event at DuBois Memorial Park, according to Melanie Phillips, Constituent Events Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“It was a fantastic effort,” Phillips said. According to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pennsylvania website, the DuBois Walk to End Alzheimer’s raised $35,442.93, or 105 percent of the intended goal of $33,830.
All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
“We want to say ‘Thank you,’ to everyone who participated,” English said. “It was a fun event and raised money for a cause that is so important to our team.”
In 2017, Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield raised $2,054 through the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which translates to a two-year total of $4,022.
“Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield did an amazing job again this year,” Phillips said.
