Every community has enjoyed plentiful stocks of personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep team members and residents safe. We meet or exceed federal, state and local guidelines for independent and assisted living facilities regarding the pandemic. We have identified Phases to proactively communicate the current status of COVID-19 restrictions and resident engagement.
IntegraCare’s four Phases are named to show the situation in and around each of our communities. The most elevated Phase – “secured” – involves the strictest precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 because of an elevated risk. One of the least elevated Phases – “clear” – allows more movement while preventing positive cases.
Residents at IntegraCare communities may expect their daily lives to change significantly with change of a Phase. Meal service, visit types and activities available in common spaces are likely to alter with each change. Families will receive information regarding their communities more often if Phases are elevated.
Factors inside and outside of IntegraCare communities may cause a Phase change. A resident or team member testing positive results in an automatic “secured” Phase, followed by Phases with fewer restrictions as community members remain free of COVID-19. The prevalence of COVID-19 in the home county of the community may also elevate the Phase, regardless of how the community has been affected.
Communities in a paused Phase may schedule outdoor visits as weather permits, while indoor visits are possible during an open Phase. In-person visits must be delayed during a secured Phase. Visitors may be screened, including temperature checks and pulse oximetry. The large number of requests limits visits to 30 minutes and one household of visitors per resident per day. We are happy to support a virtual visit at any scheduled time.
