What is the Covid Status at Our Communities?
As our country celebrated Thanksgiving, sharing what each is grateful for, many are doing so from their separate homes while others still chose to travel and gather. We are hopeful that our distant circles of friends and neighbors have made healthy choices to protect each other. We will need to pay extra close attention to positivity rates in our markets as the Thanksgiving holiday will likely result in a faster increase in these numbers. The following information is based on known test results and data as of 11AM 11/27/20.
What is the incidence rate in our markets?
This exponential climb in cases is reflected in the rise in local incidence rates in the locations of our communities. All states within our market are paying close attention to the Positivity Rate: the percentage of all coronavirus tests performed that are actually positive, or: (positive tests)/(total tests) x 100%.
The threshold for concern in incidence rates is at or above 5%.

This has been another tough week. Our hearts and prayers go out to those families who have lost loved ones. Our Residents become family, and the heartache of loss is felt by all. Also, please consider the great heroes who are soldiering on every day in those and all communities to protect the numerous other residents. Their hearts are broken. They are tired. They too have fears for themselves and their families. Yet they show up every day ready to suit up in their full PPE and provide the best care and empathy humanly possible. They love those residents….your loved ones. Let’s help them to help your loved one.
Thanksgiving Wishes
As we think about all the loss we have suffered over these past months of Covid, it really is devastating. When we experience loss, we try to focus on the things that we can count on. This Thanksgiving, more than ever, we’re counting our blessings and sharing gratitude for those who make what we do for our Team and Residents possible every day. We continue to be grateful for our caregiver Heroes and Team Members across our organization. We also remain grateful for those Families who trust us with their loved ones’ care.
