Senior Living Community Tribute Recognized 11 Residents’ Dedication, Sacrifice
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Pines of Mount Lebanon recently recognized 11 veterans who reside in the senior living community with a Veterans Wall of Honor display.
Residents, guests and our team members gathered to honor and celebrate a remarkable Wall of Honor,” said Kristie Barney, Community Relations Director at The Pines of Mount Lebanon. “This wall symbolizes the dedication, resilience, sacrifice and achievements of our beloved residents who served their country with honor.”
The Pines of Mount Lebanon veterans of the United States Armed Forces who were honored included:
- Michael DeRosa – U.S. Army
- Rick Evans – U.S. Army
- Vincent Fenicato – U.S. Army
- James Kletter – U.S. Army
- Anthony Lupkowski – U.S. Army
- Roger McDavitt – U.S. Air Force
- Norma Pyzola (posthumous) – U.S. Army
- Jim Smith – U.S. Marine Corps
- Patrick Smyth – U.S. Army
- Albert Vavreck- U.S. Army
- Paul Zovnar – U.S. Air Force
The Mount Lebanon Police Department Honor Guard provided a Presentation of the Colors.
Special guest Ann Swager Wilson, Commissioner of Ward 3, Mount Lebanon also participated in the ceremony.
